Telehealth Consent

Last updated: June 2026

1. Nature of Telehealth

Telehealth involves the use of electronic communications to enable healthcare providers to consult with patients remotely. Video consultations via Dawa360 use encrypted Jitsi Meet connections.

2. Benefits & Risks

Benefits: Convenient access to healthcare, reduced travel, faster follow-ups.
Risks: Technical failures may interrupt service. Physical examination limitations may affect diagnosis accuracy. Your provider will advise if an in-person visit is necessary.

3. Privacy

Video consultations are not recorded unless explicitly agreed. All video data is encrypted. Session metadata (join/leave times) is stored for clinical records.

4. Consent

By joining a video consultation, you consent to receive healthcare services via telehealth. You may withdraw consent at any time and request an in-person visit instead.

5. Emergency

Dawa360 is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 or visit the nearest hospital immediately.
